Purpose of "Summary" Section

I just pasted into my submission page "Summary" section a 6 paragraph description from another tool and all of the paragraph separations were lost.  Is it not intended that the Summary section be so extensive?  Is there a different place that I should put all the explanatory material?

    I think by the time you had looked at it I had figured out how to go back into the Summary section and re-establish the paragraph separations that got lost when I did the copy/paste.  So I guess I'm all set.
